With PowerGrow Off-Grid Solar Commercial Greenhouses, we can grow 800% more produce per acre, while using 1/10th the water. They have a patented process to integrate solar single-axis tracking systems and integrated battery storagethat give growers a sustainable growing environment and the ability to provide locally grown, organic produce anywhere in the world. Being off-grid allows us to build facilities far faster and more economically than ever before.
 
Farming is the largest human endeavor on earth and by 2050 we will need to feed over 2.5 BILLION more people. Which means we will have to DOUBLE our current crop production. While water scarcity, limited land availability and increasing power costs impact crop production.
 
Currently there are 795 MILLION people in a constant state of malnutrition around the world. This is often caused by limited water availability, poor growing conditions and non cost effective power. Our ability to site our off-grid greenhouses any time, any where can have a dramatic impact on world wide health.

Climate Change: The greenhouses are completely powered with solar power and battery energy storage, they have created growing environment that uses no fossil fuels. In addition, because you can grow 800% more produce per acre in our greenhouses, we can directly impact the need to further impact rain forests and natural habitats. On average, the greenhouses will generate enough clean energy to eliminate over 15,000 barrels of oil being burned or save 46 acres of forest from deforestation.
 
Water Savings: Each standard 15 acre facility will save over 13,000,000 gallons of water every year. That is enough water saved for over 1,400 people annualy. Water scarcity and water quality issues are going to increase. We can’t solve this completely, but we can make a dramatic difference in the world.
 
Hunger: Their ability to site their greenhouse operations anywhere in the world provides an immediate opportunity to help solve world hunger and improve people’s health. They are already in discussions with island nations such as the Bahamas and Virgin Islands, where growing is difficult due to water scarcity, soil conditions, and unreliable power sources.
 
Waste: With over 45% of all fruits and vegetables, there is tremendous opportunity to reduce the percentage of produce that is lost or wasted across the supply chain. PowerGrow can directly impact over 30% of that waste through controlled growing environments and quickly delivering locally grown produces that lasts longer and tastes better.

The Team has experience developing over 200 MW of solar projects, numerous complex commercial building energy projects and developing some of the most advanced greenhouse operations in the world.
 
The Team has started a crowdfunding campaign with a goal of raising $500,000. The fund raised will go directly to completing the first three commercial projects in Utah, Hawaii and Arizona. $100,000 will be spent on general operating expenses and submitting additional patents for their thermal energy storage applications in the greenhouses.
