My name is Stephanie Weeks and I’ve been in the mortgage loan industry for more than 10 years.
During that time I’ve closed more than $300 million worth of closed real estate transactions.
On a positive note I have been able to assist clients in avoiding many mistakes.
On a negative note before some clients came to me, they may have already started with another lender or maybe did not close with me the first time or came to me too late and – I’ve watched countless borrowers and realtors make the same mistakes over and over again whether it’s throwing money down the drain with unnecessary costs or fees, losing deposits because transactions didn’t close in time, or the absolute worst mistake which is watching a loan fall apart and a family doesn’t get the home they thought they were about to be moving into.
Believe me, it’s incredibly difficult to watch grown adults in tears, devastated because they lost out on their dream home because of a mistake that was completely avoidable.
The frustrating part is that after seeing these same mistakes being made year over year, I have come to realize that these mistakes fall into the same category and are generally caused by a lack of borrower education. it doesn’t have to be this way and I’m ready to do my part in making a real change in people’s lives by educating borrowers about how to avoid these costly and heartbreaking mistakes.
This desire to educate borrowers and help bring about meaningful change is why I decided to write my book – breaking the Mortgage Code.
That’s where you come in, because I can’t reach everyone on my own. I’m seeking support and funding for my book which is complete and ready to be published from people who want to help spread the educational message.
